I write because I don’t know what I think until I read what I say.
— Flannery O'Connor

I am a writer, reader, runner, yogi, wife of one and mother of two living in Malibu for the last fifteen years.

I have two littles that are not so little anymore, at 10 and 7 years old, who thrust me out of my formerly organized and efficient lifestyle into the chaotic world of motherhood, parenting, and inevitably, a state of rebirth and reinvention.

I am a Southern California native, born in Hollywood and raised in Los Angeles. I grew up in a unique environment of art, nature, music, celebrity, perceived perfection and concealed dysfunction.

After attending the University of California, Irvine and graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies, I returned to Los Angeles to work in the Hollywood film and television industry.

I started this site to write what I think, share what I feel, and connect with the truth within me and others. My goal is to communicate that truth and authenticity, and to do so with hope, love, a lot of perspective, and a little bit of humor, since I am not that funny.

You can read my writing from the most recent on back by clicking here & scrolling past any that don't interest you.

You can also look at the sidebar to the right (or at the end of this page if you are on your phone) and check out my most recent posts, the post I have featured because they are my favorite or they have been the most well received pieces I have written, and some "social shorts" that I initially posted to social media but liked so much I duplicated them here.

For ALL articles and essays I have written and posted on this website, go to the archives page for a list.

My social media accounts have original content, cool photos and short anecdotes, posted to them much more often than I add essays to this site, so find those via the links below:
